31 days of Halloween with LCD - day 3

Lost Coast team is taking part of fun, 

whole month long blog hop

And today is my turn to show my first project at the hop

I used Distress inks to make the background and stamps from

More Cats and License Plate Alphabet -Sets

and to make the smily cat to pop a little bit more,

I added some color on him with a Copic.

STAMPlorations Mixed Media challenge for October

It's time for a new Mixed Media challenge at

The theme is always anything mixed media goes except a card 

and you must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project.

Prizes: $15 gift certificate OR choice of any 

2 ARTplorations stencils to the winner

and choice of 1 ARTplorations stencil to the top picks.

So do join the challenge, we love to see your art.

For this challenge I created a sparkling tag, using 

ARTplorations: Rows of Hearts stencil

STAMPlorations: Snowman - Large and Bold Sentiments stamp sets

some Distress Inks and LOTS of sparkling embossing powder.

I took a white tag, covered it with light blue ink, then using the

stencil and deeper blue ink and sparkling clear embossing powder,

made the heart pattern. I glued a die cut and the happy snowman 

(also covered with the sparkling embossing powder). 

Sentiment got the embossing treatment also.

I was very lucky to be asked as a

I got to play with a cute "Winter Day" image

and 3D it is

I colored the image with Copics and Prismacolors, added die cut,

stickers and ribbon - and layered the image, of course, :=)
