Day of the Dead Contest at Lost Coast Designs

Dia de los Muertes - Day of the Dead Contest!

When thinking about DOTD, a thought came in to my mine.

Candles, we do burn the candles remembering the love ones
and take the candles to the cemetery at holidays
- so I made a altered candle stick.

Found a grey wooden candle stick on a sale basket at supermarket

and start working on it...

The round pieces are flattened bottle caps and the sugarskulls

are stamps from Lost Coast Design, I embossed the mini skulls

on black paper using cold embossing powder.

I painted, sprayed and used Inka Gold on this,

Flowers, butterflies and chain are all 

from my stash, I also used some pits and pieces

from an old belt I found from the flee market.

I colored the background with spays (LSG I think they where)

Stamped LCD fabulous Grunge Tree and

embossed the awesome LCD Dancing Skeletons.

Sentiment is from Tim Holtz and the web border is made using 

MS puncher. Tiny bats are die cuts and the papers, hmmmm

from my stash, lol.

For today, I made a card using Shrunken Head stamp from 

Butter Side Down Stamps.

So, I stamped the image 3x, added just a hint of color

and fussy cut the Halloween hats for the heads.

I made a X-mas card using

Christmas Reindeer - ARTplorations Stencil, 

Holiday Artsy Clear Stamp Set

and VIGNETTE: Christmas Block

Following the theme, fave color combo = blue and white

I stamped the snowflakes with white in 

as well as the background of the sentiment. 

Reindeer is embossed with sparkling white powder.

Today is Day 16 in the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop hosted by Smeared Ink, 

and I'm part of Lost Coast Designs team.

I saw somewhere in the blogland someone using household foil on there project and absolutely wanted to try it myself.
So I took foil, ATC bases and my alcohol inks (all 3 bottles that I have, lol) and gave it a go.

First I stamped Feather Bird to the foil using Stazon Ink and images to dry, then I crushed the foils and glued them to the bases. After that I carefully added some alcohol ink and again, let them dry. And then, just added some pits and pieces:

I had so many ideas how to use these, 

so I made two right away:

I colored the lighthouse with watercolor pens and used lovely 

design paper from my stash and some die cuts 

and pits and pieces. 

Here I embossed the boat and then just sponged 

some color on it from DI ink pads.

I Googled Day of the dead and looked at the pictures 

and I saw there was lots and lots of orange / yellow flowers,

Halloween bling

Halloween is coming and I decided to try something new to me, I made a bracelet and since it's the dark time (not even snow yet to light up the darkness) of the year, I choosed to do a pit of a dark side bracelet.

 The piece was total pain to shoot but really fun to make. I printed the bottlecap images from Oddball Art.

And speeking of Oddball Art's, there is still few days left to join "Fall" challenge and the FB Anything goes challenge. Before the new challenges, that is, :=D .

I embossed the image with black powder 

and stamped it again on shrinking plastic, 

then took some old necklaces 

and but pieces of them together with shrinked image.

Today is Day 7 in the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop hosted by Smeared Ink, and I'm part of Lost Coast Designs team.

To make this scenery, I started by inking a piece of paper with DI and then sprayed some water on it. When that was dry I embossed the Grungy Tree using red, sparkling embossing powder. After heating the powder I stamped the Dancing Skeletons and colored them with DI white marker. Sentiment is from Tim Holtz stamp set.

Here's she is, Wittch Hazel,  in a card made for the 5th day of 31 days of Halloween 2015 presented by Smeared Ink . I'm playing with Dream in Darkness team and having a great time.

I was digging my crafty stash and I realize that I have a match. Tim Holtz Retro Halloween stamp set and papers to go with it. About a time to use them, lol.  I think Hazel layed some king of spell on me ... I was going to use Crackle on the frame but instead it was Glossy .... well, maybe she likes shiny things, hmmm like crows (don't tell her I said that).

I altered an old children's puzzle that I bought from flea market

- can't use my kids stuff ... they would get SO angry, lol 

and when you take the pieces of

I had so much fun with this, 

paint and ink on the fingers and all that,

also had a few hiccups

 - but I will not tell if you don't see them, lol.

I needed a B-day card for 60 year young male,

and this is what I did, 

following the theme and the sketch

Car and the sentiment are for Enjoy the Ride -set

tire track stamp is from Lost Coast Design.

I stamped with Memento blue and grey inks 

and added just a little bit grey to create the shadows.

It has started!!

1st day of October and that means .... drums rolling .... 31 days of Halloween 2015 presented by Smeared Ink is on. I play with Dream in Darkness team and for the 1st day, I made this tag using SLS Zombie Lady

I have seen people coloring with ball point pens and wanted to give it a go, didn't really have any colorful ones so I bought a set of 6 pens - not a lot of colors to choose, but I do like the result ... for a first try that is :=D.

For the background: I first inked it with DI ink pads and then made some patterns using stencils and ball point pens. Sentiment is made using TH stickers.
