Oddball Art - Little Child challenge reminder

So, It's the end of July already ...

but still time to join Oddball's "Little Child" challenge.

My take on the theme is quite a adult like,

AJ spread using creepy cute image Moesha, 

colored with Copics and PrismaColors.

I made a background using Dylusions paint, flower napking and 

a butterfly stamp. Sentiment is made in PicMonkey and if you

like it, just click and save , :=)

Color challenges are truly a challenges to me.

I tend to take one when I see one, but don't always know

how "literally" to take them - do I have to use all the colors equally,

can I use different shades, can I use some other colors too ...

I found this piece of scrap paper that looked like a rainbow,

and then just took the pieces that matches the WW this 

week challenge. From the rest of the colors I made this ATC,

so nothing wasted, lol

Image is from Vera Lane and it was a Friday freebie in her

FB page a while ago. Sentiment is from TLC, I just cut

the "Easter" out of it, :=D

I'm not sure if I'm mixing Vampires and Zombies here,

but some how I think the zombies are also a knight creatures

- hence they don't like sun... I could be so wrong about this of course...

The image is from Oddball Art, Zombie Chibi Girl, 

colored with Copics. Background is made from paper pieces.

I glued them down and trimmed the edges. I also put

glue on top of the pieces and was too heavy handed and had

lots of glue ... well, I made some texture out of it by taping 

the glue with a piece of fabric I had on my table and after

glue was dry, added some silver Inka Gold.

STAMPlorations, July challenge reminder

Just a wee reminder, that there is still time to join

There is a little golden wax on the card and the shimmery

is lovely, I hope I could have gotten it to my picture...

Hair Do - ATC

Wicked Wednesday have a great theme this week:

"Hair Do", love it, I have so many images to go with this

theme.  This one is from The East Wind, but for

some reason, I can't find it from the shop... 

I colored her with Copics and Prismacolors and added 

a little Glitterglue on top of the bird. 

I was thinking about adding a sentiment, but then ... I just like the way it is.

One layer...

The East Wind released this awesome "Dark Pixie" image,

and I just had to had her, she's fab.

And at the same time I got some brilliant digipapers from Lozzy,

so off I went to print. I placed the papers and images on top of 

each other in Word and printed it out, so what I have here is

actually One layer card... Saves the ink and the paper, lol.

Colored with Copics and Prismacolors and I added some Glossy on

the bubbles that belongs to the Bixie image.

Lost Coast Designs - The new stamps showcase, Day II

Yesterday we were showcasing Lost Coast Designs  Whimsical birds,

and today we are having fun with feathers, yay!

And while I was at it, I made two cards

 The fist one I embossed with white powder and colored

with Brushos, sentiment says " For you" in Finnish.

This one I embossed with black powder, fussy cut the feathers and

use some DP from my stash. Sentiment says "For a Friend" in Finnish

Lost Coast Designs - The new stamps showcase

Lost Coast Designs has released a fabulous set of

new rubber stamps, today (more to come) I'm showcasing

this happy birdie, Whimsical Sylvie.

Background is made using biggest stamp from Shadow Frames set.

I inked the stamp with 2 different greens (DI) and then stamped Sylvie and

colored her using the same greens.

Word "Fly" is from Misc. Words Unmounted -set.

I got and bought some new images at TEW and

when I printed them, I also printed some older ones to play with.

I have never tryed to color with "no lines" so I though, it was

about the time to test it ... well for a starters, I should have

printed my image a bit larger for a first try ... but when I

start something, is so hard to give it up, LOL

I first had something else in my mind for this mermaid,

but then I noticed this shell paper on my desk (one of my faux leather

testings) and my plan changed... And she became a chilling mermaid in a card.

STAMPlorations - Stencil Sunday

It's my first Stencil Sunday at STAMPlorations

and I made a very warm sunny tag.

First I stamped the lovely sunflower (Happy Sunflower)

on a glossy card stock, then I ironed on some wax.

After wax was cooled, I rubbed it with a towel and

used beautiful Flutterby stencil and black Gesso to create the

butterfly, the word "SUN" is a colored chip board.

Why not join the Mixed Media fun and join the STAMPlorations 

MM challenge? The theme is always anything mixed media goes 

except a card and you must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project.

Well, at least rain gives me good excuse to stay in and craft, lol

Image is colored with copics and Prismacolors and I did the background same way as I did here, only difference was, that this time I used texture paste instead of embossing paste.

I have this wonderful ATC background stamp ans somehow

it led me thinking hippies and the movie Austin Powers

- you know: "Groovy Baby!"

paint pen and the stamp from Designs by Ryn.

Lost Coast Portal to Creativity - ATC challenge

We have absolutely brilliant theme this month's challenge at 

Lost Coast Portal to Creativity: ATC

Making ATC's is so much fun and totally relaxing,

so why not link up to challenge? Any company's 

rubber stamping goes - there just have to be stamping 

in your ATC to qualify for the prize.

Very often I make a set, when I make ATC's and so did I this time also,

stamps used are from Lost Coast Designs: Bugz Set and Medium Shrubbery

I first cut the base of my cards from a thick mixed media card stock

then I watered some orange Dylusions paint, and pushed my cards to it.

When the paint was still wet, I sprayed some LSG green on top, and got

lovely shimmer to my cards. Then I waited cards to dry and embossed

the gorgeous flower silhouettes to them. 

And for a final touch, the great sentiments and brilliant bugs. 

Fly stamped on brown ink, crasshopper on green ink and dragonfly on blue ink 

- not that it shows much in my pictures...

I used 3D stickers to attach the bugs.

We have such a lovely theme this time at

Oddball ART: For a Child

I'm using "Silly Sally", she is wonderfully

happy image and comes with a sentiments and the sun.

I colored her with Copics and PrismaColors,

made a pig bold flower and cut the sentiment our from a DP.

There is no need to use Oddball image to join the challenge,

but of course we'll love to see them. And if you do create with

Oddball, why not join the Anything goes challenge at FB?

X-mas bells

A while ago I was lucky to win a blog hop at

Rubber Dance blog, and I got a fab selection of goodies from 

The Eye Connect Crafts as a prize, YAY !

Today I decided that it's time to play with those goodies

- not just look and admire, lol.

I took the bells and painted them white.

Then I took some blue and stamped with it using Marble stamp 

from Rubber Dance, then wit brown ink and sentiment stamp from RD

I stamped some wordings. Used the same blue to color the paper flowers and 

rubbed some Inka Gold to get a little silver glow to my bells.

Final touch by using Anita's Snow stuff and few pearls and ribbons.

Lost Coast Designs: Day 6 of Christmas in July

Did you know we have a X-mas event going on at

Lost Coast Portal to Creativity,

it's party day 6 and my turn to show some X-massy

I love this birdie (Megan's Christmas Bird), he is so cute 

and looks so important while making Christmas decorations.

I stamped him using black Memento and did the background with wax and iron, Encaustic Art, I think it's called. Brilliantly fun technique.

This guy is stamped on kraft and colored with ColorSofts.

All stamp company rubberstamps are welcome, so

I'm thrilled to join a STAMPlorations

mainly by embossing things. First I used two embossing folders and white

paper to make a base and then I used white powder and vellum 

to make the flowers and butterflies.
